The story of Hiraya or Imagination written and directed by Jasmine Nazareno is a story of a girl played by Cy Largo who met Gio played by Mj Largo in an imaginary world in which it allowed the lead character to live happily and know herself better. They met in a story that is unreal and no one can understand both of them.
Imagination is the ability to picture things that are not real, and it is a form of image in our minds of something that we have not seen or experienced. Meaning to say it is a creative thinking that makes our senses wonder and imagine things to happen. Just like in contemporary world, Globalisation makes us imagine and set goals to achieve things. If we let our imagination materialize, we will not be on the same ground. As one of the most famous thinker, imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limited whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress giving birth to evolution, explains that imagination will help us grow and determine where to focus and act. Globalization can be in our hands if we have creative minds that will set goal to achieve and develop abilities that will make us productive. The first step to success is to fulfill first the obligation as human beings, then followed by being one to be a voice and influence for change.
In this movie, it shows on what are the effects of capitalism in the people of America especially in the workers of America. Michael Moore is film maker explains the meaning of capitalism, “this is a process of giving and taking”. He begin the documentary in the roman empire, the most beautiful city in ancient world that people serve in the king only, the disparity between the rich and the poor. This movie shows on what happened in the rich and the poor. The people who have a lot of money can joy and relax but the poor are always working to survive and experience hardship. Michael Moore believes that capitalism is a system which claims to reward free enterprise but in fact towards greed. The message of this movie is how the corporations took over and treated everyone who wasn’t rich. It shows that capitalism began under the presidency of Ronald Reagan’s and the former CEO of Merill Lynch Don Regan the president secretary of the treasury. The reaganamics plan of the Reagan took over and spilled into everything from general Motors bankruptcy and various closing of the manufacturing plants to thousands of people getting laid off and loss their jobs. The real state went into many records of foreclosure, losing of jobs and bailout.
Because of capitalism many family members couldn’t afford their guarantee. In the movie he point that capitalism can take the insurance of the dead. “Dead peasant” in capitalism the company can take out the life insurance policies on their workers; they collect the benefits when the workers die. Moore also shows the reckless immoral gambling in America that also the cause of capitalism. Because of capitalism many workers lost their jobs and much company was bankrupt. Moore wants to show in the world the negative effects of capitalism of federal government. Many families got the heritage of their love ones because of this government. Many poor families in America got their state because they can’t pay their bills. Michael Moore goes to beg on the different banks in America to give back the money of the poor and the workers.
While watching this documentary I feel so enlightened in the reality and understand that it is the capitalism can do in the federal countries. It feels sad, most of all in the people and companies who can’t pay their dept. Michael Moore wants to show in the people of America to speak on what Franklin Roosevelt want in this country. He cited Roosevelt’s second Bill of rights for the people of America. Roosevelt says, the citizens of America to have rights in home, jobs, education and health care. But this right was not happened in America.
Moore’s film is a lot more interesting than some of the filmmakers because it focuses on reality. We will understand many things in his documentary. For me I’ll rate this documentary as one of the most interesting documentaries throughout the film industry because this documentary awakens me on what happend to the federal countries just like the united states and also I really appreciate how Moore tried to educate us on what will happened if capitalism will be more prioritised than having democracy.
By next year, Marinduque is going to commemorate its autonomy from Batangas, Quezon and Mindoro since 21stof January 1920. For the culture, arts and heritage of Marinduque and its people to flourish, it is imperative to document and promote Marindukanon in the region and the world. It might be beneficial to the provincial and local governments of Marinduque to establish and maintain a registry of cultural properties and arts practices.
In the long run, the output could be a basis for a district or even a division level matrix incorporating local history, cultural mapping and cultural history in the basic education curriculum as part of Department of Education’s effort for localization, indigenization and contextualization. Finally, the tangible results of both projects would serve as basis for cultural eocnomies and creative industry in Marinduque.
In lieu of this, by 2021 there would be a quincentennial celebration honoring the 500 years since the Battle of Mactan. As early as 2016, there had been subtle preparations for the upcoming occasion. Likewise, by 2022 Boac would be celebrating its quadricentennial foundation. Therefore, the initial gains with Heritage Tourism would be sustained with arts, crafts and trades with technological innovation and applications.
The short film is all about going back to the past. It is a story about a young boy living in the 21st century where he experienced and saw with his own eyes the life of the Filipino people during the past era. It was the year 1811, 1890, 1912 and 1941. Rynel, the one who traveled through time in his dreams, he thought that it looks really real and have a different feeling when he woke up.
Rynel decided to post about his dreams and read all the comments, some of his friends didn’t believe him and they think that he is lying and maybe think that he is just fooling around. After I’ve watched the short film, I have this question on my mind that, what if it really happened to us—not the part where the Japanese era exist but the part where you travel through time in just dreaming. Some people say many of us sees a lot of people in our dreams, even if we didn’t know that person and have this weird or deja vu dreams.
For some of us we are scared to witness that kind of dreams that Rynel experienced, but we have a different reasons, in my opinion I would be so curious what does it feel to have a dream like that. To have that kind of dream was actually a open eyed for me—I think, because we, students had heard it a million times to our teachers even now but it was a great feeling to witness it in your own eyes. On how does the life of Filipinos before? How did they cope with everyday life to think that they will be in danger any minute of their lives? How did they survive? On how to be strong and calm when war is coming? We have a lot of questions in our mind, we are so curious about that said years.
Even if we are living a modern world, where everything is about technologies. We can’t help but think that what would happen if there’s no Filipinos who are brave enough to stand for our country? What would happen if there’s no so-called hero where they stand for us and gave their lives for us? Are you thankful that our ancestors are alive because we are not gonna be here if they didn’t survive and make our parents safe? And there’s a lot of it, it was like never ending questions.
Watching Reincarnated Since 1811 is like going back to the past life of Filipino people. When you can witness how the Japanese are so brutal and mercyless when killing people. Philippines have a lot of history, a lot of problems, a lot of struggles that we can’t cope with. And we still experiencing and witnissing how those people died or getting killed without justice, it was exactly the same thing before. We should protect ourselves and people around us because we don’t want them to experience that kind of pain. We should learn from the tragedy which happened before, that we need to be strong and keep from repeating the same mistakes.
