Theme: “Ugnayan ng mga Adyenda sa Pananaliksik ng mga SUC at HEI sa CALABARZON at MIMAROPA”

 

BAYBAYIN is an independent international open access peer-reviewed journal. It is an independent journal that was founded by a group of scholars from Southern Tagalog region in the Philippines who were affiliated with different universities and colleges in the country. This had been realized so as to encourage eclectic academic dialogues and promote researches, creative works and book reviews by local and international authors across the globe with special emphasis on Tagalog studies, Philippine studies, Southeast Asian studies and Filipino philosophy.

We cordially invite you to submit a paper/abstract to our 1st General Consultative Conference (October 12-14, 2017). The aim of this conference is to strengthen the researches and organizations in Southern Tagalog region. These could be accounts of graduate research, unique viewpoints, case studies, trend analyses, literary criticism, creative works, etc., that are related but not limited to the following topics or themes:

  • Exploring Southern Tagalog Studies (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan)
    • Southern Tagalog Spirituality
    • Tagalog-ness (What is that?)
    • Philippine Studies
    • Southeast Asian Studies
    • Nationality and ethnicity in the age of Facebook
    • Recent trends in Filipino Philosophy

Submission of Abstract
1. Abstracts may be written in English or Filipino and must be submitted via email at editor_publisher@baybayin.com.ph or marindukanon@gmail.com

  1. File names must follow the required format: put your surname (SURNAME, all in uppercase), followed by your first name (first name, in lower case), and a short version of the title of your paper.

Example: NOBLEZArandyTeoryaNiBomenGuillermo.

  1. Abstracts must have 300-500 words, use MS Word document (.doc file format). Follow the required font: Arial 11, on a letter-sized page with one-inch margin in all sides.
  2. Abstracts must include a short introduction, summary of results, and the conclusion of the study.

 

Important Dates:
Deadline of Abstract Submission – July 28, 2017
Notification of the Result of Evaluation – August 18, 2017

Date of Submission of Full Paper – September 15, 2017
Date of the Paper Presentation – October 12-14, 2017

Registration Fee: Php 3,500 (conference kit, food and resort accommodation – Provincial Training Center)
