Across the Seas and up to the Mountains: Ifugao State University and Marinduque State College become the newest Center for Language and Culture

Effective June 5 this year, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) designates two more State University and College to be a conduit through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding held at the Watson Building, JP Laurel, MalacaƱang Complex, Manila. The Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) serves as a regional center for the further development of the national language and respective mother-tongues through advanced research or specialized advocacy projects. Incidentally, Marinduque State College (MSC) is commemorating its 65th year of existence from being a School of Arts and Trades, Institute of Science and Technology until becoming a State College. MSC commits its Marindukanon Cultural and Arts Studies program through the Office of media and International Affairs for the cause of national culture and language.
