Theme: “Ugnayan ng mga Adyenda sa Pananaliksik ng mga SUC at HEI sa CALABARZON at MIMAROPA”

 

BAYBAYIN is an independent international open access peer-reviewed journal. It is an independent journal that was founded by a group of scholars from Southern Tagalog region in the Philippines who were affiliated with different universities and colleges in the country. This had been realized so as to encourage eclectic academic dialogues and promote researches, creative works and book reviews by local and international authors across the globe with special emphasis on Tagalog studies, Philippine studies, Southeast Asian studies and Filipino philosophy.

We cordially invite you to submit a paper/abstract to our 1st General Consultative Conference (October 12-14, 2017). The aim of this conference is to strengthen the researches and organizations in Southern Tagalog region. These could be accounts of graduate research, unique viewpoints, case studies, trend analyses, literary criticism, creative works, etc., that are related but not limited to the following topics or themes:

  1. File names must follow the required format: put your surname (SURNAME, all in uppercase), followed by your first name (first name, in lower case), and a short version of the title of your paper.

  1. Abstracts must have 300-500 words, use MS Word document (.doc file format). Follow the required font: Arial 11, on a letter-sized page with one-inch margin in all sides.

Across the Seas and up to the Mountains: Ifugao State University and Marinduque State College become the newest Center for Language and Culture

Effective June 5 this year, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) designates two more State University and College to be a conduit through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding held at the Watson Building, JP Laurel, Malacañang Complex, Manila. The Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) serves as a regional center for the further development of the national language and respective mother-tongues through advanced research or specialized advocacy projects. Incidentally, Marinduque State College (MSC) is commemorating its 65th year of existence from being a School of Arts and Trades, Institute of Science and Technology until becoming a State College. MSC commits its Marindukanon Cultural and Arts Studies program through the Office of media and International Affairs for the cause of national culture and language.

Pinakabagong Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) itinatag sa Puso ng Kapuluan

Sa bisa ng lagdaan ng Memorandum ng Unawaan sa pagitan ng Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) at Marinduque State College (MSC) nang ika-5 ng Hunyo ay naging pang-31 Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) ang Marinduque State College (MSC) sa buong arkipelago. Ang pirmahan ay idinaos sa Bulwagang Norberto Romualdez ng tanggapan ng KWF sa Gusaling Watson, JP Laurel, San Miguel, Maynila. Ang SWK ay nagsisilbing bukal ng pagpapa-unlad at pagpapalaganap ng pambansang wika at kultura. Kaugnay nito, ang MSC ay nadiriwang ika-65 taon ng pagkakatatag mula sa pagiging School of Arts and Trades at Institute of Science and Technology hanggang maging ganap na State College.
