In the overview of the course, the terms inputs, processes, outputsand outcomes were mentioned. Surprisingly, as I attend the Training Course on Impact Assessment of RDE Projects at the Cavite State University which commenced today and will last until the 21st, the same terms surfaced.
Honestly, the concept of Open Space Technology was new to my ears before we had it discussed last Tuesday during our first meeting for the EDM 202 – Social Research Methods summer class. However, as we progressed in the discussion, it became clearer to me that OST is an artistic way of self-discovery. It allows one to share his ideas without actually having a particular agenda at all, but eventually starts focusing on something as other ideas are shared by other participants. Something that we may call “emergent” since no one knows what exactly will unfold. The said approach may also be considered as promoter of the concept of Appreciative Inquiry. – CHRISTOPHER J.
